Here we go again...

I've decided things are not insane enough around here and I have to enter the Schnibbles Times Two contest. I'm entering through Charming Chatter, which you can check out here.

I'm going to make X-rated using Essence, but after looking at the rules it says "current" and I'm guessing last fall isn't current enough....hmmmm. I'm going to have to look into this.

Goodies!

When my in-laws were in town I was going to buy some things at FQS and my MIL insisted on paying for it, she had it sent to her house and then shipped it up with some new clothes and little things for Little Bit!
 And here they are!

Aren't they delicious?!

I have to confess that I was a bit disappointed at the response my last Bake Shop project didn't get more comments over on their site. I thought it was a pretty neat idea, but oh well. I still love it and you all gave some love : )

I'm working away on a few more projects for Bake Shop, and am still try to decide what to do with all that Make Life... I have sitting here, looking at me, begging to be made into some. I just can't decide. I hate that so much, when you have too many ideas/options and I just can't make up my mind.

Goodies!

I received my prize from Niki and Stitchin Heaven's Cha Cha Challenge! Isn't the bag so cute?!

This toile tissue paper was so precious you know I kept it.

All my little goodies, and a lucious Blush charm pack, which you know means I need to get another one.

Make sure to check back tomorrow when I can reveal what this is.

I think you're going to really like it!

Need some idea help

I'm wanting to at least start on my Make Life...quilt which is one I'm making for myself, imagine that eh? (yes Canadians really do say eh, and I am one of them, though not every other sentence)

I know I want it to be tumblers, because if you've been reading for a while you know I love tumblers. But I think I want to put something in the middle like a medallion but I can't seem to figure out what would look good with the tumblers, stars? other geometrics?

I know I'll frame the center medallion so it I don't have to worry about it fitting right next to the tumblers. I can also do applique so that is also an option.

I think that may be the problem, too many options!

Any ideas?

Friday Night Sew-In

It's that day of the month again! I'm working away. Are you?

What I'm up to

I'm excited to be feature on Stitchin Heaven's blog, Stitchin Heaven Howdy, on their Friday Feature! Go check it out!

I'm afraid most of the things I'm working on right now have to stay a surprise for a little while but I though I'd give you a sneak peak.

An FYI the blue from Make Life... is only a bit different from the blue for Pure.

And one quick thing...am I the only one who ever does this?

Rather than take everything off the table in the middle of my layout I just put Little Bit's second go at dinner on a ruler! Please don't tell my mother!

Two Birds, One Stone

Thank you so much for the wonderful comments about State Fair. As you know if you have read my blog long is that I love, LOVE, secondary patterns.

I had meant to put a longer post when I showed off State Fair but I have had my inlaws visiting for the last week so have been a bit crunch for time. While I loved having them here, and was very sad to see them off it does mean I can go back to my more regular routine. So here is the post that was meant to be.

I promised my little sister I would make a baby quilt for a long time friend of hers who is expecting in late July/early August, but the shower is in June. I was getting really stuck on ideas because fabric suggestions were shot down left and right, and I was making a baby quilt, not a lap quilt called a baby quilt. I also had to do my June Schnibbles, State Fair.
Yes you can see where this is going.

I dug and dug into the stash and didn't have enough of any of the "boy" charm packs to make the quilt so I dove into the yardage and came up with a gorgeous blue and a very cheery yellow and decided to go with those.

**Hanging head** I did have to make it a bit bigger...I can't seem to help myself with these beauties.

So here is Two Projects, One Quilt.

Year of Schnibbles -State Fair

I finished the flimsy for this month's Schinibble, State Fair.

I really loved this one once I saw it in just three fabrics. The secondary pattern came out and really is lovely.

Happy Anniverasry

DH and I have been married 5 years today and wow has it been interesting. We've gone through more then I think either of us ever intended but here we are still going.
Looking at that picture we were so happy and hopeful and had no idea what the next short while would bring but we are still together, leaning on one another in so many ways. Yes, I was 6 1/2 months pregnant with our son when we got married.

To celebrate I thought I'd have a giveaway. I'm giving away 3 Miss Rosie patterns, these ones are in the Schnibble Times Two book, Hot Cross, Bennington, and Storyteller. Just leave a comment if you want to be entered telling me you would like them.
Good Luck!

Le Jardin Block 6

I finally got Block 6 finished for Le Jardin. This block gave me fits. My machine kept skipping stitches and breaking the thread for the greys. I'm going to have to go back and re-do some of the applique because the stitches are so messy.
I also managed to be absolutely brilliant! I appliqued everything on to an upside down background!! I think it looks ok still though.

I'm glad I kept going and just changed things a bit. The embroidery took me a while but it's done.

Here are Blocks 5 and 6, which share the clothes line.

I also got the rest of my placemats finished.  I love these!

I got 5 out of the one charm pack and about a yard of fabric. This was one challenge I'm thrilled I tried.
LOL this was a Rouenneries weekend...and I still have Rural Jardin charm packs! muah haha....so much French General goodness.

Placemats!

Setting C was far and away the most popular, sorry Thelma!, so that is what I went with.
I think they look wonderful! I added a little pocket to put the cutlery in, I don't know why but I love it!

This is one of the things I like about joining challenges is that I am motivated to do things I either have been putting off or wouldn't attempt on my own, and so many of them I am loving!
I made 5 from a charm pack and a yard and a half of fabric, and the best thing? No binding!

Various projects on their way

I've got Third Wheel done up until the borders, one of which I'm waiting on, so I thought I'd show it off. This started as part of the Cha Cha Challenge but as I worked on it, and did the math etc, I got to thinking I really like this one. And it's easy. And it can be made from charm packs or a layer cake or a jelly roll with yardage for what is white in mine.  Mason is warning you away from "his" quilt, which is whatever is laying where he can get it, and he especially loves unquilted, or soft backed quilts.

I'm considering selling this pattern. And was hoping for some feedback. Either positive or negative, seriously it's ok to say I don't think it'll sell, just don't be cruel ;)

This is a little kit Little Bit order through Scholastic and she took it to grandma's so she could "sew" all by herself!

Aren't they adorable?? The little book with instructions is still at my mom's but I think she'll be making these again because she was sooo proud of herself.

I'm working on my placemats for the last Challenge and I'm loving them.
I just can't decide on the sides. The main block is 12" finished, and I want the placemats to be 12x18.
Here are the options, which do you like best?
A

B
C

They've given me another design idea for BakeShop, but I have to get the projects I'm working on done before I can submit more lol.
