Need some idea help

I'm wanting to at least start on my Make Life...quilt which is one I'm making for myself, imagine that eh? (yes Canadians really do say eh, and I am one of them, though not every other sentence)

 I know I want it to be tumblers, because if you've been reading for a while you know I love tumblers. But I think I want to put something in the middle like a medallion but I can't seem to figure out what would look good with the tumblers, stars? other geometrics?

 I know I'll frame the center medallion so it I don't have to worry about it fitting right next to the tumblers. I can also do applique so that is also an option.

 I think that may be the problem, too many options!

Any ideas?

Cha Cha Challenge finish

This week's challenge is a journal cover or wallet so using (and modifing) a Moda Bake Shop pattern I came up with this!

I accidentally sewed my braid the wrong way but I don't care, I like it. I used the blue tonal for my inner pockets and instead of using binding I sewed the the backing and the front together like I would a purse and turned it afterwards, thus avoiding the evil binding. Now had I measured properly before cutting this would have fit perfectly, but of course I didn't so it is a bit small. But I'll just get a slightly smaller binder, which won't be hard since I was using my jumbo binder measurements.

 I have to say I ADORE this line, and I absolutely can't wait for Sweetwater's next line, Pure, to come out in August.
