I'm so sorry for being away almost a week! Things have been crazy, exciting and unfortunately kinda confidential, at least for a little while!
Though I am being featured as a Canadian blogger over at Nugglemama's Handful. Go check it out!!
Most of the things I'm working for involve my original designs, and some very cool people! But if I share it won't be as fun and surprising. And it may jinx things.
I will tell you I've had my heart in my throat several times this past week. And I've done a lot of sewing/quilting.
I will show you some of the wraps I've made and quilted in the last little bit. No not Little Bit, little bit, as is a period of time in the immediate past that is short in duration. Ok. I know you knew that but I'm in a funny mood today!
Here is my gorgeous aunt modeling my wraps for me! All of which are sold. Yes all. Already. And they want more. I'm going to be a busy bee! Especially if I can't get this binding issue solved.
The issue? I need to figure out how to eliminate the hand sewing part of bindings. I have some ideas and will let you know how they turn out!
And I'm just saying that an AccuGo! would make my life way easier, and cheaper, if I could use yardage and have something else cut it to the strips, because my shoulder/elbows have been giving me fits lately, especially when cutting.
Ok off to make up goody bags for Little Bit's birthday party tonight with all her school friends...

Love your wraps, no wonder they are sold. I've just seen that you've generously shared the pattern. I have a gorgeous jellyroll that I bought on impulse and is waiting for a project - Twiggy by Moda - it will be wonderful for a wrap. I've added it to my "to do" list.
They both are beautiful, congrats on the feature, too, what an honor.
I do not do hand stitching on my binding, I attach it to the back, and top stitch the front. I'm not entering into competitions, I'd get marked down for that, but mine will never come apart, and with practice and thought towards your thread color, they look good from both sides. Just a word of encouragement....

Your wraps are so pretty and it is good to hear you have orders for them! I agree you need a GO! I hope Accuquilt hears or reads this!! Hee!!
As for binding, cut your binding strips just a little wider than usual for hand sewing. Sew on binding as normal, wrap around to back and make sure it is covering the stitching line, pin and machine stitch in the ditch all around making sure it is caught as you go. I do most of my quilt binding this way and it looks great and is much faster than hand sewing.
I love your wraps too! I didn't see where you shared the pattern but I'm going back to check that out. I just wanted to say I read about you on nugglemama's and I love your blog. I don't know how you do it all but I do admire you. And I think your daughter is beautiful!!!!!
Very cute Cara. Hope things are going great for you.
I've been making a wrap according to the instructions on MBS but am lost with the twill tape. Where does it go? Thanks
