I managed to finish the Jelly Race quilt top in a bit over an hour, and that includes "cautions" for kiddo needing drinks, and an accident requiring mom-aid.
As a treat I'm going to shop some of the Bella Solids over at 1 Choice 4 Quilting. Pretty sure I can come up with $50 worth of the new colours to get the 10% off. heheheh ssssshhhh don't tell Shane.
This top is the perfect size to make one of my quilted wraps with so that's probably going to be what I do with it.
I used Moda's Hoot Hoot by MoMo for those who will ask. :)
I have MORE sewing to show later! I've been doing tons of sewing this week, all simpler quick projects just to get me back at my machine. Everyone's support has meant so much to me and I can't tell you how much it has helped. HUGS to you all. Thank you.

Woot! Congrats! What do you think of the process? Are you surprised that it looks good (or doesn't)??
That is pretty impressive Cara---love the fabric you have chosen too btw!
How sweet! I love this jelly roll top! This could possibly be something I can make! Since I'm just learning! I am so happy that you are back to your sewing machine!!!
oh wow! i adore it. everything is just so wonderful about it!
You really make me want to take up quilting!!!(but i so can't afford it)
<3
Aren't these so fun to make..and so fast! But WOW! I am not nearly as fast as you! I put a wide border on mine and it looks great that way too.
That is so cool. That is a great idea for charity quilts.
I really like the idea of using that for a wrap, it had great colors in it! Glad to see that you are feeling a bit better.
You made that so fast! It looks great! :)
Love it, I am sure it feels so good to have a finished top...whohooo
WOW! That's great! Love it!
Wonderful and bet it feels good too. Have fun doing some more. My next one to start is going to be one of those Jelly Roll races quilts too.
I was just over at the flicker group looking at the jelly roll race quilts that have been posted. I don't have a jelly roll, but it did have me going through my stash of Christmas fabrics... that is until sanity prevailed, reminding me that it's 11 pm and we have things planned for tomorrow so no middle of the night sewing for me. But it was tempting... lol.
I was happy to read that you're back sewing. Your quilt turned out great! And your time is pretty impressive.
Wow! an hour? Are you totally crazy? I must admit the picture makes me want to make a strip quilt...so it's done its job, right?
I'm glad you're feeling better. You're too talented to stay away from your sewing machine. :)
