Ok I lied

I did get one thing done yesterday. I finished block 2 from the Jelly Roll Quilt Along. It's another pretty block. Forgive the picture, without my laptop I can't play around with the picture.

I think one of the reasons I have trouble with mystery quilts is I like to change things to suit me but you can't really do that with a mystery because you don't know what the final look is, so you can't really know what would look better to you now can you? That and I have control issues lol.

Little Bit is off to the dentist today to have a cavity dealt with. Wishes us luck.

Love your second block! I won't be doing mine until the bag I'm working on is done. I don't often do mysteries either. I like to know what things are going to look like before I start them so this is something new for me.

I feel the same way about mysteries. I went on to each of the block designer blogs and looked at what jelly roll they had planned on using... to get some insite!

YUP...I am with you on the mystery thing. I am always afraid I will use something I wish I had later, if that makes sense. I like to know where I am going and how it will look when I arrive. Trying to get out of my box!

Cara, hope the dentist appointment went well. Good luck with the rest of your weekly appointments as well as getting your computer back up and running. I love your second block. I'm skipping this quilt along but will enjoy seeing everyone's blocks (just like the Schnibbles). I agree with you on the mystery blocks. I did one a couple of years ago at my LQS and it didn't turn out so well ;-) Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
